KAZE
Not a Project, but a Quiet Experiment For four years, he worked with a small team of artisans in Jiangsu, China — without marketing, without announcements.
Every initial cue was fully handcrafted — from wood selection and seasoning to layering, and pressing the grains.
- Each butt had to feature the exact double-helix grain pattern and correct stone-rattling ratio — any deviation meant rejection.
- No decals or printed veneers — all patterns were real inlaid wood, precision-cut and hand-fitted. Some months, the workshop completed only two cues.
When the first ten cues were completed, he didn’t engrave a logo or name. He simply enclosed a handwritten note: “If this cue feels right for you, then it was made for you. I don’t sell cues — I share a feeling. When a player picks it up and feels a connection, the cue has fulfilled its purpose.”
